Xerox the World and Call It My Life

I want to make it clear that I know nothing about Dungeons & Dragons

but I’ve spent enough time on the internet to have a rough, generalized understanding of the system of D&D alignments.  And I’ve kind of become obsessed with the idea of alignment charts and applying alignments to other forms of media and casts of characters.

You see, I feel like this system is actually a brilliantly simple but effective way to categorize people’s positions in the world.  Furthermore, I can see how useful of a tool it would be to a writer or storyteller.  I have to wonder if hanging on a wall in every TV writers’ room there isn’t a giant alignment chart for all the characters in their show…
